From the Executive Director’s Desk: Building Business Together in Bradford County
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about Bradford County, it’s this: our strength has always come from our people.
From family-owned businesses that have anchored our downtowns for generations, to new entrepreneurs choosing to invest their future here, our local economy is built on relationships, resilience, and pride of place. As Executive Director of the Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce, I see that every day—in conversations with business owners, community leaders, and residents who care deeply about where we live and work.
This blog is a new way for the Chamber to share those stories, provide updates, and talk openly about where we’re headed.
Why This Blog, Why Now
Running a business in a rural county comes with unique challenges—and unique opportunities. Workforce shortages, infrastructure needs, and regulatory pressures don’t always make headlines, but they have a real impact on our local employers. At the same time, Bradford County continues to show remarkable creativity, collaboration, and determination.
This space will allow us to:
-
Share what the Chamber is working on behind the scenes
-
Highlight the successes of our members
-
Explain issues affecting local businesses in plain language
-
Keep you informed about opportunities to connect, learn, and grow
Most importantly, it’s a way to keep the conversation going.
The Chamber’s Role in Our Community
The Chamber of Commerce is more than a calendar of events or a directory of businesses. We are a connector, an advocate, and a partner.
That means:
-
Supporting businesses at every stage—from startups to established employers
-
Bringing people together to build relationships that strengthen our local economy
-
Advocating for policies and investments that make Bradford County a place where businesses and families can thrive
Whether it’s workforce development, downtown vitality, tourism, or business education, our focus is always on long-term sustainability for our region.
Looking Ahead
Over the coming months, you’ll see posts here that spotlight Chamber members, preview upcoming programs and events, and dive into issues impacting our business community. You’ll also hear directly from me about what we’re seeing, what we’re working on, and how you can be involved.
This blog isn’t just about sharing information—it’s about building momentum.
An Invitation
If you’re a Chamber member, thank you for investing in this organization and in Bradford County. If you’re not yet a member, I invite you to learn more about what we do and how we can support your business.
And if you have a story to share, an idea to explore, or a challenge you think the Chamber should be aware of, I want to hear from you. The best work we do starts with listening.
Bradford County has always moved forward by working together. I’m excited to continue that work—and to share the journey with you here.

“Central Bradford County is truly a remarkable place to grow up, live, and build a future. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of rolling hills and scenic valleys, our community offers a perfect blend of small-town charm and endless opportunity. There’s a sense of belonging here, where neighbors support one another, businesses grow with strong local roots, and nature is never more than a few steps away. Every sunrise over our hills reminds me just how fortunate we are to call this place home. It’s a wonderful place to raise a family, pursue your dreams, and experience the very best of Pennsylvania’s natural beauty and community spirit.”
